I'm uploading files either by FTP or direct using the DNN File Manager, however, when the file has been uploaded, DNN Repository renames the file and adds a unique ID on the end.

How can I stop this occurring as I need to use SyncToy to ensure our documents are kept up-to-date on the Intranet?

in the form.html file change the [FILE] token to [URLCONTROLFILE] and change the [IMAGE] token to [URLCONTROLIMAGE]

Hi Steve,

I've made the recommended changes, however, I get the following error:

The argument 'fileName' cannot be null or empty. Parameter name: fileName

Can you advise?

Also, the layout and overall styling of the upload / file selection dropdown list is very messy when the token is changed.

Is there a way to change the token as per the above, but keep the browse button and add an additional dropdown list underneath which points solely at the Authorised files folder on the file system?

Your help is really appreciated!

the error you are getting is a problem only when running DNN 6.X. There's a Repository update at http://www.gooddogs.com that fixes the issue.

Those are the only 2 options at this point, the Repository upload control ( which inserts a Guid into the filename ) or the core URL control.
