I'm working with SQL server 2005, Visual Studio 2005 and Repository 3.1.10 Source. I modified the source but i can't test my new Repository, I have errors with the references.

The Repository source is only for .NET 1.1 ( Visual Studio 2003 ). The module will 'run' under .NET 2.0, but if you want to modify the source and recompile, you need to do that under VS 2003.

It's a tough call for module developers at this time. If I modify the source to work under .NET 2.0 then the module would only run in DotNetNuke 4.x and anyone who is still running DotNetNuke 3.X ( which is still quite a lot of people ) would not be able to run the module at all. By keeping the source .NET 1.1 compatible, everyone can run the module.

Eventually, I'll will release a .NET 2.0 version of the module ( not sure when ), but then I'll be forced to maintain two sets of source code as long as I want to make my module available to both DNN 3.X and 4.X users.
