Is there any way to add a line count column that would always have the right number when sorted?

there is an internal row ID, but it is not exposed to the public.

Is that something that might be considered for an update? I think in some instances people would like to see a line count at the beginning, like if you enables lines in textpad. showing :

1
2
3
4

and if you sorted one of your columns the updated view would still show :

1
2
3
4

with the refreshed data

It would be nice to have as an option.

You can do it with xsl.

Place this into your stylesheet.: <xsl:value-of select="position()"/>

What if I am not using xsl? I am using the default grid table with the datagrid class.

If I were to change over to xsl, how do I get it to look like the default grid table?
