We have bought DNN Masters MultiPortalUser Sharing PRO, in order to give our users single-sign-on access to all portals and to give them one userprofile for all portals.
At the same time we also want to share content amongst portals in a dynamic way (not import / export, …). In some cases the content is shared across all portals, in some the content is shared only between some portals.

Is it possible to use the forum module across portals?
The idea would be that forums can be displayed on any portal and managed by the user on any portal he/she logs in to.

Our second question is, if you are planning to have a setting for the page to be displayed when a username link is clicked. Right now the forum module uses its own userprofile, but we would like to have our own userprofile module displayed.

I wouldn't use the 3.20.8 release in a multi-portal environment and would wait for the 4.4 release of the module. (Around mid March it looks like)

The sharing of forum (or almost any other module) content is not possible the way you wish to do because it is tied to ModuleID and also PortalID. You could, I guess, make it possible by altering the source but in the case of the Forum module I think you will have a very difficult time making it work this way and I am not sure it could be accomplished without lots of time and changes.

The profile question answer is a no, unless you change the module source code.

Just something to keep in mind is that most modules are designed to keep content portal specific. The reasoning behind this is a shared hosting environment where multiple sites reside on a single install and their data is independant of one another. While it may be possible to 'share' content among portals with some modifications to the modules, some modules like the Forum are going to be a daunting task.
