I was about to ask the exact same question.   There hasn't been any news posted on the forum project page in over a month.   Is there a list posted anywhere of the features/fixes that will be in the next version of the forums?

AFAIK beta 3 is now beeing tested, and I am sure that you guys want all major issues fixed, before the module is released, right?

LOL, fixes are good,  but you can't blame us for being anxious!   Right after I posted that last message I found the blog post that has the list of all the new stuff and fixes in this new version.   WOW! That is a really impressive list.

I am glad to see some enthusiasm around the project, and I don't blame you for asking as it is definitely due out. Since you have stumbled on the blog post and seen the list of changes in the next version, the blog post doesn't really do justice to how deep these changes really go. Short of rewritting the entire module, almost every piece of code was reviewed or overahuled for this release. I have added a graphic designer to our team , Rob, and also run  a Beta testing team to test the module in various environments I normally cannot dedicate the time to test on. The Beta team has done wonders in finding issues I might have overlooked without them and I am dedicated to releasing a really stable version when the time is right.

All that said, we are trying really hard to release within the next week or so but each time I run into a bug or issue I have been spending time to make it right which has kept delaying the release. After spending a significant amount of time this weekend on the project I feel fairly confident we should be able to release a very stable version soon. I need to spend about one more solid night of coding fixes and then allow a couple days of the final beta build to be tested before releasing to the community. Please bear with us just a little bit longer while we work out all the kinks so you don't have to.

Thanks for the support!

Chris P.
