I have installed the forum mudule on my site at http://www.newvisioncolorlab.com/LabForums/tabid/59/Default.aspx

Users can not post. Is there a setting I should make active for this to work?

Thanks

jeff

Jeff,

You must give users edit permissions to the module.  This hould allow your users to post and reply to other posts.

In order to give them the ability to edit their own post you should mark them as trusted within the forum admin setting. This is done on a per user basis.

Cheers,

Marc

Marc,

I have done as instructed in your previous post.

I created a user and set as trusted. But when logged on as this user there is no way to post.

For those interested I fixed my own error.

I had user settings set correctly. But the forum itself was set to "only admin edit"

Hi Rae,

When you go to the forum as the user you have created, do you see the new button?

If not, than you still would have to set the edit permissions for the users role on the module level.
