Every now and then I notice, in the dotnetnuke site updates and changes forum, somebody makes a post:

e.g.:
http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/65/threadid/121525/scope/posts/Default.aspx

Now this is a readonly forum (for good reason), so how do they manage to do this when they aren't core :)

Many thanks!

p.s. If you know, let us know, but don't tell us how to do it or we'll all be trying to do it :)

Alex, this is a known issue, that shall be fixed in next Forums module version.

Thanks Sebastian

I'm going to fold my arms now and wait and see what the new forums module has to bring before I raise any further issues and unnecessarily use up any more core resources on this (second post I've logged recently with a similar answer).

Apols - Many thanks...!

Alex,

I am sorry, but Chris is working at the new forums version for about a year now. AFAIK beta tests have nearly been finished, so it will be released soon - and for sure, we do not want his resources being wasted with fixing issues on this old version ;-)

Oh yes quite right, no problems. I meant that last comment quite a literal / practical sort of way way rather than in a huffy / backed in a corner sort of way (I wasn’t “folding my arms” defensively, just a manner of phrase :)

Basically there is no point in me posting these sort of issues, wasting my time and the core project time here until the release comes out. I shall be tracking the project more carefully from next release...

I look forward to next release, and hope it gets released when it is ready to be released, and not a second too early :) I've seen the beta forum and there's no doubt we are all going to be blown away.
