First of all, I am not promoting AF, although it seems that many users have good words to say about it. My point was, if you want to demand something, you have to have a right for it. And the simplest way to acquire such rights is to buy them.

Second, here is what I would've done, since you are asking:

1. If I had code and felt the problem is indeed serious, I would try to debug it myself.

2. Or, I would look around for a better solution and ask for a refund from original vendor. You would have to prove that a sufficient cause exists, of course, but that's irrelevant for this discussion.

Of course, if the product proves it's misfit in terms of merchantability, you can take your actions futher.

Again, my point in the original post is that while core team isn't perfect, we have to remember the price we paid and the price they pay.

From reading Chris's posts it appears to be an issue of a difference of opinion between the development team and the deployment team.  This happens all of the time in the corp world, so would not expect DNN to be any different.

I do think it is extremely unfair for everyone to jump on the project team, they've spent a ton of man hours ( there own time ) to help out the community.

Maybe there is a solution, it seems as though several of the projects have "unofficial" builds.  Any chance of exploring this path?

Instead of ill words,  maybe we should offer  help, suggestions, and support.

Jason, I've removed your post content as we do not want to encourage people to use un-released modules. The project tracker exists to ensure that releases meet quality standards, unreleased modules cannot be regarded as being safe to use as they may have install, localization or security issues. In addition, we do not support upgrades between unreleased modules, so if anyone is foolish enough to install this on a production site and break it, you will not find any supported fixes in here - however, i doubt many people are foolish enough to install software downloaded from an anonymous source.

In addition, i've revoked your moderated status, and would request that in future you follow forum rules & ettiquite.

This is a tough situation.  I don't feel the need or the right to complain about not having something that is being provided for free and with many hard worked man hours.  I also don't like to be strung along not knowing if the product will ever be delivered or if so when.

A lot of times just a little communication goes a long way.  Is there any way we can get an updated time schedule on this?  Not so people can complain and moan, just so we know.  I am certainly not going to yell and scream if we are looking at a lot longer of a delivery time than was originally stated.  I just need to know whether to explore other options.  I would hate to buy another module and then have this one released 2 weeks later.
