Users with IE7 are presented with an empty web dialogue when trying to add an image to a forum post

It does not happen with Firefox or IE6 - and I just tried here and it seems to work, is this version 3.xxx or version 4.4.2

Is there a config setting I may have missed or a setting in ie7 that i need to warn them about ( unlikey as it works in ie7 here)

I also noticed that my editor page has two buttons  to "add image " and "add smiley"  under the editor panel but  before the insert attachment section. They do not work in any browser in my install . Thay are not there in the editor page on this site so how do you turn them off.

You can register and check it if you want at http://forum.coffs.com.au the offshore fishing forum is the one I have been testing - if there is someone who has the forum working fully on their site and wants to check the settings I am willing to give them admin role for them to check it

Regards

Wayne

The evnt log error below appears to be reporting the smiley button problem - in summary it is an

Exception type: InvalidCastException

Exception message: Conversion from string "29/03/2007" to type 'Date' is not valid.

Note I am in Australia and the DNN4.5.3  install is set as EN-Au

<globalization culture="en-Au" uiCulture="en" requestEncoding="UTF-8" responseEncoding="UTF-8" fileEncoding="UTF-8" />

could this be effecting the dialog boxes as well?

I would move all needs for smiles and images to the rich text editor. In the next version, the two image and smile buttons you see will be removed due to major integration issues.
