Hi all

I'm running a forum on DNN and a few problems have started recently in my site:

1.  Forum Avatars Not Showing:

Member avatars are not showing in forum. I have enabled the Gallery and have created the required "ForumAvatar" and "SystemAvatar" folders using wizard. But they are not showing.

When we try to upload an avatar, it gets uploaded properly and we get the message that it was uploaded successfully and the image is shown in window but when we click on "Update" button in "My Settings", the avatar is not updated and its not shown in posts.

If we look back in "My Settings", the avatar textbox is empty.


2. Tabs in Menubar Disappear:

Sometimes all tabs in Menubar disappear. I mean suppose we are browsing in forum and suddenly when we refresh the page or click on any link, in stead of that page we are redirected to "Home page" and we get no tab in Menubar.

After a few minutes all tabs come back in menubar.


3. "User Log In" in Titles of all pages:

We are getting "User Log In" in title of each page, even we have set proper titles in Page Settings.



4. "Under Construction" Error Message:

Last problem, if a user type full URL of our site in browser addressbar, it opens but if he types sitename.com, then he gets an error message "Under Construction".

www.sitename.com = site opens

sitename.com = Under Construction Error message


These are very annoying problems and I'll be very thankful to all of you, if anyone can post his valuable reply.
I'll wait for your replies.

You should use the Internet Explorer to configure the avatars. Firefox doesn't work correctyl. This is a known bug.

Can't tell anything about your other problems.

I can't help you on the first three... but for number 4...

Most registrars automatically add two entries for each domain name:

www.domainname.com

domainname.com

Apparently yours didn't.  You should be able to clarify with them that you need both.

 

At least if you're really having the same problem I used to have to deal with... ;)

Thanks a lot for your reply. But we have checked using IE7 and still same problem.

Can anyone please give us a solution? And what about other problems?

I appreciate any kind of help. Thanks.
