In a moment of temporary insanity I did something I knew I ought not do, but curiosity ......:

I am presently running 4.04.01 and in a trial portal decided to install forum . Of course this has stuffed up another forum I have hosted on another portal.

Is it possible to downgrade to the forum version that would have been installed with 4.04.01 & what would be the simplest method to undertake this, assuming it is possible.

If anyone can help appreciate greatly. Thanks

A downgrade is not possible by design.  All datas are saved in the Database, and on upgrade there are some modifications running for the Module artifacts of the Database, like table, procedure, i.e.  There are no downgrade scripts in old Modules.

The only way ist to restore a file and database backup.

Regards

Matthias

thanks Mathias.

I figured that might be the case from your response on that similar query.

Least I now have an excuse to do a full upgrade of the portal affected.

Thanks again, Miles
