Sorry for this newbie question, but is this forum I'm posting to right now the Forum module that comes with DNN or a third party forum module?

Thanks in advance.

Good Question - it's a core module - but it's installed separately.

You can download from the downloads page when logged in.

Out of curiosity, why aren't all modules that are considered "Core" simply a part of the DotNetNuke install download?  When I think of "Core" I think of, well, the core package that you get with a product

jbeall, I'm picking up what you are throwin down. DotNetNuke is an application framework which is extensible through providers and modules (which in a sense are providers as well). The Core is the heart of that application framework and eventually will not have any modules (except admin and probably html) included with it as a download. This allows whomever to download the Core and then only the modules they wish to use.
