You are correct. The problem must be in the Forums module. I tested this in the blog module and it works ok.

Either I dont know how or dont have the rights to file into Gemini.  Can you put in the bug report or set me up with access?

I added it to the public Core and Module Blog, you can find it here http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?id=8640&PROJID=23. After it is checked from QA it would be asigned to the Forum as FOR-8640
