I am getting the following error when I try to add a thread. I am logged in as admin.

this is what i get...

I think this is to do with one of the major bugs in the Forums module for over a year now.

Seen a post regarding a way to fix it but unable to find it again (if anyone finds it would be good as a sticky until a bug fix is released).

It's to do with subscribing for notifications which can block the creation of threads.  The fix was along the lines of adjusting personal settings to subscribe to all threads, and then removing it which should clear it.  Probably worth a test along those lines.
