When will the code be available for the latest version? (4.5.5 or above)

A new release will be released after it is developed and tested.  We announced a new release on dotenetnuke.com if it is tested and official released.

I asked because as Chris pointed out in his blog dotnetnuke.com is running 4.5.5.

I think that there are more than a few people who would like the improvements it provides.  Some of us like being on the bleeding edge :)

It is not only the cutting or bleeding edge that makes a new version usefull. The pinned thread Forum 04.05.03 Known Issues lists a lot of problem which definately keep me from updating my 4.4.3 forum. The following are my peronal show stoppers for the update:

  • have to disable PMs and delete all PM table content (to get My Settings working correctly)
  • delete content of the Tracked_Forums and Tracked_Threads tables (to get My Settings working correctly)
  • new quoting method by using <div> instead of [quote] which is completely unusable for anyone not knowing anything about html. I just figured it is still not fixed even here at dotnetnuke.com.

Other listed problems are just annoying, but not necessarily show stoppers.

Anyway, a happy new year for all of you guys working on DotNetNuke. It still is and will be my favourite CMS !

Tom.

I agree Tom.  I am just looking for some of the fixes that were needed from 4.4.3.  I tried to get the updates from CodePlex to work but since it is still a work in progress didn't have much luck.  I of course am sure I am not doing something correctly when I tried to complie what I downloaded form CodePlex and get it to run in a dev enviroment.
