I have implemented a new forum into the generic "Discussions" group and set the new forum to be Private with no moderation.

The forum keeps disappearing from the site - I am not even able to view it in admin mode.
This seems to happen after someone makes a new post in the forum.

What would be causing this?
Where would I even start to look into the issue?

After playing around with settings and looking for answers in the database the forum eventually shows up again however the next time someone posts it disappears again.

Please help.

I also found something very odd. I logged in as a user who reported the forum missing after posting and clicked on "My Posts" and was able to get into the post however the formatting of the page was then all messed up. From that post I could also get to the other areas within the new forum even though from the main "Discussions" group on the Forum Home, this forum doesn't show.

Let me know if other information is needed to help track down the issue.

I would check to see if the last post was done by a user who has been deleted. In the past, most 'disappearing' threads have been related to a deleted user.

The last post was not made by a deleted user. The user is still active and has access to this private thread.

Any other thoughts as to why this disappears after posting?

Also - It is not a disappearing thread - the issue is the entire forum disappears.

We have 3 public forum topics in the "Discussions" group.
Ask Admissions
Ask A Student
Ask A Parent

Then there is also 1 private no moderation forum setup to only be accessible to a specific set of roles.
Ask The First Year Team

Every time someone posts in the Ask The First Year Team forum, the entire Forum disappears from the list (Even when logged in as admin).
