Hi Chris, I'm sorry to labour this point, but just to clarify as I'm struggling to understand if I can make a change somehow :-) Are you saying that the coding change is not possible for anyone but the owner of the forum (i.e. you), as this code doesn't get exported? Or are you saying it is possible, and I need to get some nice techie person to look at Components\UI\Posts.vb file (RenderAuthor method) for me to make the changes?

To make changes on the code you need the source package you can download from http://dnnforum.codeplex.com and you need Visual Studio. Also some develope knowledge on VB is needed.

There are some companys that make cusom developement.  But you must know this changes have then made to all new versions too.  Otherwise if you update a cusomized Forum with a new original Forum version all your changes are gone.
