Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to customise the information that's shown in the user information which gets displayed near the users avatar in the normal forum view?
I have created some extra site profile properties which I'd like to display - Location (UK-based counties), Sex, Bike. I can't work out how to put these into the user interface.

It would also be nice to have some sort of title displayed, like Admin, Top poster, etc. I had daft names like Wheelie Queen, etc on my old forum, based on number of posts.

I've found reference to this in Desktopmodules/Forum/themes/default/default.css

/* Table that holds Author information (name, rank, joined, posts, etc.) */
.Forum_PostAuthorTable

I imagine my next step is to amend that table, but I can't find where it's created.

There isn't a way to change that without changing the code. The information shown there does have a few configuration options (such as location) available from the module's admin control panel but I know most profile properties (like Sex) are not available to show/hide here.

Hi Chris, I was expecting to have to make a code change. Is this not possible to do within the forum files?

Yes, but in the vb.net code. It is in the Components\UI\Posts.vb file (RenderAuthor method).
