My full (current) list: * Inserting pictures into the signature block - can we allow image upload, or put instructions on what to type in the 'edit sig' screen * The Text-Edit doesn't allow smilies - temporary work-around in place (insert an image, select the 'Emoticons' folder and find your fave smilie) * Preview pane doesn't work * Figure out how to show location, gender and bike type under the avatar. It would be really nice to be able to add whatever profile information I want into here. * How do I show users online and number of users, plus an easy view of members within the forum, rather than via the main site * Private messaging has disappeared from the forum, I need a good alternative * 'All Forums' thread and post number doesn't work.

Thanks Susie, I will list your ideas as enhancements. To touch on a couple things:
  • All Forums - I decided to remove this because this number is different for every single user and impacts performance too much in big sites. Maybe I should make it use a set of hyphens '-' instead of the number 0.
  • I expect overall user online to be handled by the core module, however there is still opportunity for the number viewing per forum.
  • I think Sebastian touched on, in another thread, why I removed Private Messaging. I think the core module needs to be enhanced.

Hi Chris, I found the users online module, and I'm using it now. I've still got so much research to do with a myriad of modules all over the place it's like being a fussy kid in a sweetie shop - some of them don't taste very nice but I have to try them all to find out! The - instead of 0 would be good.

Bartlomiej has now made the changes for me - I have gender (an icon) and 'bike' showing below the avatar.

I've got to say, her request of having "custom" fields from the profile show near the Avatar is one I want also. I would think it would be common.

The "Region" field is the State field here in the US and it's not of much use. And the "Location" field is supposed to be the country, but it won't show up no matter what I try. And, even then, it's still not what I want, but I would consider just using the Country field for what I want, which isn't ideal.
