Hi,

I received the following error when adding the forum module to my site. This is a fresh / clean install of DNN 4.3.5 using the standard forums that came with the package. The forums module version is: 3.20.08

I have not modified the source at all. I also did not use the webhost4life install but the install found on DNN.

The install wen fine with no errors. When I received the error it uninstalled the module, then reinstalled and am receiving the same error.

The exception seems to point to a connection string but I can't see how that's the issue since the connection string is correct. The site works fine otherwise.

I'd like to use the standard forums if possible. I wonder if I need to muanuall run the sql scripts?

Regards,

Patrick

I would check my connection strings in web config to make sure they are just right.

The problem was in th web.config.

the 2nd connection string was missing "value="Server=databaseiphere;

I had value="databaseip;

I must have deleted the Server string somehow. Probably had too many beers.

Thanks for the help.
