Hi
I suppose the Filemanager is using the tree webcontrol therefore I post here.
One of my customers is using DNN 4.3.4 in a DMZ without any prolblems until recently.
The Problem: With the client PC on the LAN, when he clicks on the expand "+", Exlorer 6 (with alle the newest patches) diplays a MSG-Box with only the yellow exclamation mark, a minus sign as text and the OK-button. The tree does not get expanded and the dnnanim.gif is permanently displayed until manual reload of the page.

The effect is reproducable but strange enough I does not apear under the following conditions:

- when the site is access from the internet (I guess longer response times)
- when Fiddler HTTP-debugger is runnung on the client Internet Explorer
- when Firefox is used

Looks like a timing problem to me... but too deep inside for me.
Anyone any idea?
Regards
Thomas

PS: Of course the requests and responses are all identical on the line in all cases

That is bizarre.

The alert box displays when a callback fails, it usually has a message.  I am very confused by the fact that it appears to work when you have fiddler running.

I can offer two suggestions.

1) Have them change their Tools -> Internet Options... -> Settings (button) -> Check for newer versions of stored pages to Every Visit.

2) Enable script debugging and try and step through the code.

Sorry I can not be of more assistance.
