Hi, it seems that after upgrading to DNN 04.04.05 locopons DSLocalizator won't work. It did a great job before, but now just doesn't show the localized values any longer. DNN core localization ist still working allright. No error messages. Did a restart of the installation.
Anyone experiencing the same problem - or the other way round: anyone got DSLocalizator working under DNN 04.05.05?

Hi Felix

Sorry I can't be of more help here, but I did have the same problem (and got no help from here or Locopon). I ended up with a RentACoder who sorted it all so I am not sure what it was, but I have had DSLocalizator removed now, I think, not using it anyway.  i think it may have had to do with only some thinks set for localisation, not everything for every locale... but I can't say for sure.

I would like to use something for Localisation but for some reason it just seems to be such a difficulty with DNN. DSLocalizator was the only thing I could find to change everything, menu items etc. Now I am wanting to set my site up for UK, USA & Australia... all localised for different currencies & slightly different pricing structures and I am possibly too concerned with using DSLocalizator again.

Also, after my upgrade experience and how DSLocalizator (Also the MMLinks module from Locopon which I have stopped using) gave me a week of headache... I am a little concerned with going through it again to ove to DNN 4.5.5 ... but I want to use SSL, and keep up with the latest DNN versions.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Hi David,
there is also one localization module from http://www.apollo-software.nl .That's not for free, but maybe still better than an external Coder or none localization at all. I think localization - like the one realized with locopon's module or that from apollo - should be a core element in future versions (that's a plea to the developers ;-) ).
It helps to know that I'm not alone with my problem.

Felix,

both mentioned developers of localization aolutions, Erik from Apollo Software and Mauricio (Locopon) are Core Team members and will take part in the huge job, to add content localization intoDotNetNuke Core Framework. The core team is aware of this need and is working on concepts, but due to the impact of this solution, implementation will take some time and not be finished in a few weeks.

Cheers from Germany,
