My website currently has content in 2 different  languages, Vietnamese & English. I want to display content depending on the selected language. In runtime, How can the system or DNN Core identify what current language I selected is? Whether is it stored in any system variable ie Session variable or Cache.. ? How can i get it?

Regards,

HuyNM

Current language is stored in portal context and detected by DotNetNuke from user preference or browser settings for unauthenticated users. You need to download and install the Vietnamese langauge pack first of course. to get multilingual page titles and modules, have a look at 3rd party solutions from www.apollo-software.nl, dnn.tiendaboliviana.com, www.portalfabrik.net and www.effority.net.

Dear Core Team,

I downloaded and installed the Vietnamese language pack of course. But I cann't use avaiable 3rd party solutions because they don't support VietNamese, so I myself need to build own CMS module which support both Vietnamese and English. When users switch between 2 languages, the whole content is also changed into selected language.

For example, in some of my website, I use Session variable to solve this problem. If users select the Vietnamese Page, system will store Session["Lang"] = VN. If user select the English Page, the system will store Session["Lang"]= EN. After that, when user browse web, the system will read Session variable and display contents depending on the language which user selected.

So, If I use DNN, to build own modules, how can I get these infomation which is like Session["Lang"] above? Whether is it store in any system variables, i.e Session variable or something like that?

Thanks alot

If you can found out support for content localization/multilang in DNN 4.6.x, please tell me. Meanwhile, I discovered that DNN under Languages, you can enable/disable Browser Language Detection or Language Parameters in URLs, but still I can not find a user friendly way to edit content translation in module level. I know there are 3rd parties, but then I'm afraid of ending up with several modules for example HTML/Text module, FCK module I like. Best Regards A Cuong.
