Gday guys,

Installed the Aussie english language pack today, and am trying to either, set the guest user as EN-AU, or just bloody delete EN-US, but its refusing me with:

System Locale (en-US) Cannot Be Deleted

I have checked every user, and assigned them all to EN-AU, so im kinda lost. Its mainly for the events page which, when not logged in, is shown in EN-US despite me setting the portals defualt language to EN-AU.

Any help appreciated!

Additionally when you're running the site on a server you own, can change this passage in the web.config to:

...
<
globalization
culture="en-AU" uiCulture="" requestEncoding="UTF-8" responseEncoding="UTF-8" fileEncoding="UTF-8" />
...

consequence is you can run when unlogged with your desired locale. When you're logged on follow the instructions from Sebastian Leupold.

Hi to all,

i have recently installed DNN 4.8.4 and i want to get rid of the default en-us system locale, in a multilanguage system (using DSLocalizator).

I have followed the steps below:

  • From Admin->Site Settings->... i removed the en-us from the default language settings
  • From Admin->Languages i disabled the en-us language
  • From Host->Languages i try to delete en-us but the error message "System Locale (en-US) Cannot Be Deleted" appears.

Any ideas? Is it impossible to delete the system en-us locale? Does this issue has to do with DSLocalizator?

regards
