if there is a french language pack for a newer 4.9.x version, you might try to apply it even to 4.9.0, I assume the pack has an issue in one of the xml files, try to validate it using the resource verifier in Host :: languages menu item,

To upgrade, start with a backup of your files and database. download DNN 4.9.4 upgrade package and unzip into your current installation directory overwriting existing files. browse to your site and the upgrade shall perform (if autoupgrade is turned off in web.config, you need to browse to /install/install.aspx?mode=upgrade). Good Luck!

Thanks a lot, Sebastian

I need the Good Luck, because I am so nervous to upgrade, now everything is running fine in the other language.

It's a petty, that dnn.fr only have this only one version (beside 3.2.). The dnn.fr website says something in Red (maybe a warning) but I don't understand it :O)

I will try the upgrading - now you are giving me Good Luck :O)

Best Regards,

Per

as far as I understand, the warning just indicates that some  translations may change from version to version.

Hi again Sebastian

I really have "Grimlings" :O)

Because I was afraid of the upgrading, I try on another 4.9.0 site first. Everything was fine, and I installed the French - PERFECT!

Then I upgraded the actual site to 4.9.4 - fine - and then the French ....AND still the same error!!!

What can you say to that Sebastian. Can it be the skin or is some files "hanging"?

Best Regards,

Per

 Hi Per,

maybe the skin has some widgets included, which fail on resize - that's the only idea I have, though the decimal point issue should happen in German as well.
