I am enabling my site for several languages.  Instead of installing existing language packs, I am editing the files myself so that it can be more custome to my site.  However, I cannot find which file that "register" is located. The  Register  that one clicks to register for a user name (see below).  Can someone tell me?  thanks

for example, the "cancel" is located at   \App_GlobalResources\SharedResources.Host.resx
But where is the "register" located???

you will encounter it, if you translate all site, it should be in controls section, AFAIR.
IMHO it is preferable to install an existing language pack and adopt to you needs either for a single portal or all portals - which will not be overwritten on LP updates.

:-0 I wished there were Khmer language packs.

My translation efforts are currently suffering from a large turnover of translators (and designers). To achieve some consistency in the translation, I must start back from zero with each new translator.

The translation module suffers from clarity. As you say, when you translate all, you will eventually meet it... Some of the entries are not clear because it is not clear where the text belongs. I mean things like "read" - is this an instruction (infinitif/imperatif) or is it an adjectif (past participle)? What would be needed is some kind of link between the resource value and its appearance in the portal - and even more importantly, a link from any static text in the portal back to the entry in the resource file.

Any suggestions, what would be the most effective way to create such a thing? - And how could it be kept updated through subsequent DNN upgrades? I need something like that for myself; I might just as well share it with the community.

BTW, is there an entry in the static resources for the tab name "Pages" yet? I solved the issue for my portals long ago with ds tab localizator.

sorry, Cathal, but the Localization Editor does not provide help with resource key context - it makes it even more difficult, because you can't just try and error.
When I created any of my ~700 language packs, I used the built in language editor in one browser window and the translated module in another, allowing me to save and immediately view the result. A small tip: always start with SharedResources.
