I have a module for ML support, and used a checkbox to display/hide disabled Locales in a DropDownList. I recently compiled a new version of the module in DNN 5.6.0, and realized that the two funtions Localization.GetSupportedLocales() and Localization.GetEnabledLocales() are marked as deprecated and should be replaced by LocaleController.GetLocales().

After I did struggle around a bit (because the old functions returned a LocalesCollection, and the new one a Dictionary<string, Locale>), I realized that there is no way to get disabled locales. Where is this now?

Best wishes
Michael

If you look at what DNN is doing for those methods now, you'll see that GetSupportedLocales is implemented as a call to GetLocales(Null.NullInteger), while GetEnabledLocales passes in the portal ID.  Does that give the behavior that you're looking for?

Hope that helps,

Brian,

thanks for the answer. I did not realize that it is possible to pass a null value instead of the PortalId.

Best wishes

Yeah, there are a lot of those "hidden gems" in the DNN API.  I've suggested on Gemini that they fix this one.
