Hello all.

I have just configured the tab localizer from EALO to work with the Minimal Extropy skin. I added the various code snippets, in the various places, and it was pretty simple.

It works, it is easy to manage, and I am very pleased with the solution.

BUT! (There is always a but, ins't there?)

I started out with my new site thinking that I would have one skin with a horizontal menu for the main page and another skin, with a combined Horizontal and Vertical Left menu.

In the main home page skin (Index 1280) the menu translates languages beautifully. But in the sub page skin (Index leftmenu 1280) only the horizontal menu works. The left menu for the sub pages does not translate. Obviously, I need to something in the aspx file, but I have no idea what!

For the horizontal menu to work, you just replace the provider name. In the line below you can see how it looks.

<dnn:NAV runat="server" id="dnnNAV"  ProviderName="EfforityMenuNavigationProvider" IndicateChildren="false" ControlOrientation="Horizontal" CSSControl="mainMenu" />

But in the left menu, there is no provider name. So what is to be done here?

<dnn:LEFTMENU runat="server" id="dnnLEFTMENU"  Width="165px" ShowOnlyCurrent="RootItem" MaxLevel="2" EnableEmbeddedSkins="false" Skin="MinimalExtropy" />

Can anyone help with this one? :)

As far as i am aware, EALO does support NAV menu provider only, sorry. Apollo does supportr a few other menu providers, maybe DSLocalizator as well.

Hi Sebastian. I am not really clear on what you are saying.

The EALO nav thing works, but just not for the left menu. Is this because the left menu us using a different provider or something? In which case, how come I cannot see it referenced in the code?

if you are using a different menu for your left navigation, it will not be localized. you need to use NAV provider with EALO menu here as well.

I am puzzled..... :(

It is the MinimalExtropy skin. Would that not use the same provider for both the horizontal and vertical menu version?
