Dear All,

I'm trying to use the full  potential of the core dotnetnuke multi-lingual functionality. But I come across a very big confusion on how to using it properly.

I have activate another language, beside the default en-us, and it worked fine, proven by the website now shown the languages icon that can be clicked on to switch languages. But, the localization only works for static contents, doesn't go for dynamic contents. I'm looking for it to also change the information on the dynamic contents (pages, especially tab names - as menu is taken from tab names directly). I know alternative solutions to use the 3rd party module, like, dslocalizator, apollo or ealo.

I came across to an article that show me the capabilities of it:

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/B...

it has video in it. The article was using dotnetnuke 5.5 alpha. But the trouble is, I don't have the same interface like what it shown on the video, at all, meanwhile, I'm using dotnetnuke 5.6. even, I have tried to install dotnetnuke 5.5, still, I don't have the same interface. On the video, it has interface where there's a button to copy all the page names and create new one based on the particular language. Where as in mine, I don't have that capabilities at all.

The reason I want to force using the core multi-lingual feature because I'm using a 3rd party solution for the menu, which, it reads the tabs table directly for the menu names, and follows the dotnetnuke core multi-lingual for the multi-lingual capabilities. I don't know how to change the data provider for that 3rd party solution from reading the tabs table, into reading another table, say, dslocalizator, ealo, etc.

Please someone can give me a detail step-by-step on how to use the core dotnetnuke multi-lingual feature accordingly??

Any help, reference, links are very much appreciated, but, I do prefer a detail step-by-step solution though :D

Thank you in advance.

Hi,
I've also been trying with this ...
I have enabled "Enabled Content Localization" in HOST SETTINGS and I have added Languages (not language packs - because I want DNN in English only).
But I cannot add/edit content in different languages anyway ... maybe I'm doing it wrong?
If I look at English page and changes the content .. then click French flag .. I still get English content and if I edit it ... still English!

Where do I do wrong ?

BTW, I'm using the new DNN 6
