I am having a strange issue where the control panel hides the menu only when the user locale is set to fr-CA. I have found out that the body tag is missing the style="margin-top: 33px" only in fr-CA.

I have already logged a bug http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/V...

I was wondering what piece of code actualy generates the body tag so that I can try to find the reason for that. Any clue where I should be looking for it?

I have done a texte search on the source files for "margin-top: 38px" and found nothing. Nobody has a clue of where that style is supposed to come from? I have no clue where to looks for it...

I would assume, the setting is derived from a css file, you don't get crawled with a code file search. You might want to try free alternative "Advanced Control Panel" from www.oliverhine.com. DNN 6 version is coming very soon.

Thank you Sebastian. That control panel sure would be a solution, but I would like to find the actual problem using the core control panel because I believe that it is something that should be fixed.

I have not found any css file with margin-top: 38px; And since it only happens in one language, I doubt that this value comes from a css file. It must come from some piece of code that has a problem with fr-CA and maybe other cultures...

Would you happen to know which source file generates the control panel? There must be a piece of code somewhere which modifies the body margin-top only if the control panel is visible.

Daniel maybe you can try inspecting source code with Google Chrome & Firefox Web Developer toolbars and findout which div is used, then modify its CSS. Dropping it into skin.css would solve your problem i guess. I would like to review, if you are able to share the url.
