I've seen a few reference to a Catalan language pack.  Is it out there or likely to be out there soon?  I have a project to build for a Valencian client and would like to use the ca pack as a basis.
I'm not sure if the locale for Valencian actually exists - I guess it would be ca-va - any ideas?

I've a catalan language pack ready to go for versions 3.0.12 and up. It just needs a bit of working. Look for it in the comming days (hopefully next week).

On the valencian subject: this is not possible! The only accepted and true language code is ca-ES (for catalan). But if you need something different to accomodate to your specific dialects you can always edit the base package and "repack" the language resource files.

Thanks Vicenç. I look forward to the Catalan pack and appreciate your comments about a Valencian dialect version - I need to think how to approach it as I'd like to support both Catalan and it's dialects.

Simon,

I think we don't have to start a catalan vs. valencian battle here :)
This might be fun for us but other people will certainly think we are mad!

The problem with this is that there's only one international accepted code for catalan (ca-ES) so the only way we can support this language is with this code. You can create a slightly different version for your specific needs (valencian) but you'll not be able to have both languages installed in the same portal (you could do this in separate portals with some hack...).

I doubt the battle would be a bloody one,  I don't share my neighbours sensibilities.
Looks like I'm just going to have to butcher the ca pack - maybe I'll leave it as it is and see if anybody notices ;)
