Hi,
I've translated a few non-core modules into Spanish and I'd like to make the language packs available for them.

I'm not sure how to make a module specific language pack - can they be loaded through the languages page?
Is a manifest required and what should it contain?
Or is it just a question of copied the resource files to the appropriate directory?

I've drawn a blank in the documentation and forums.

Many thanks,

Caroig,

We provide more than 100 german module translations at DeutschNetNuke = DotNetNUke in German, you can use as examples.

Unfortunately DNN does not support creation of module localization pecks yet. Here how I produce them:

  • export the appropriate language pack from DNN host::languages
  • open the created zip, delete all unneeded filed
  • edit manifest file in the zip, deleting all associated file references

Let us hope, the next version of DNN will finally support creation of module localization packs.

Sebastian

Hey Sebastian,

Thanks for the tip, it hadn't occurred to me as an approach.  I echo your comment on the need support module language packs in a more coherent manner.

Saludos,

Simon
