Hi Everybody,

I am plan to use this tool for my projects. I am in a need to create new roles for administrating the site where I want to split the Host and Admin rights and assign to newly created roles. Can I acheive this?

Thanks to one who is going to help me.

Not sure what this question has to do with localization...

Only host users can have host rights, you can not delegate host rights to different roles. Depending on your needs, you can create new roles that are given admin (edit) rights on pages, or modules. "Normal" roles that have edit rights for a page, can create subpages and add modules to a page, if you assign edit rights only to a module, users can edit content, but not change settings.

Cheers,
Erik

Hi Erik,

Thanks for your immediate response.

First I want to answer your first line. As I am a new user I dont know where to post this question, I feel that this might be a suitable place as I see some post regarding Roles.

My need is, I have to add a role who also has the right to add a user with a existing role and he does not have to be a Admin or Host.

Thanks.

the "Configure It!" forum might be more suitable: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/ForumsDotNetNuke/tabid/795/forumid/108/scope/threads/Default.aspx

AFAIK it is not possible to have non-admins create new users with a default dnn setup. You would have to create a module of your own to do that...

cheers,

erik
