I followed the steps outlined in the sticky posts and have AD authentication working correctly if I enter my username/password in the username/password form.  However, if I browse directly to the WIndowsSIgnIn.aspx file (after removing anonyous access rights), the page just refreshes without logging me in or displaying an error message.

I have tried this with the DotNetNuke.HttpModules.AuthenticationModule both commented and uncommented.    I have tried putting the site in the trusted and intranet zones but since I am not getting an IE username/password window I don't think that is the problem.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Dan

Dan how is your username listed in the Users table of your database? domain\username or DOMAIN\username?

That was the problem.  When I changed it in the DB from domain\username to DOMAIN\username it started working so I have a couple of questions.

I saw in another post that a change was needed in the compare logic to be case insensitive.  Is that a change I can make or do I have to wait for a hotfix?

Looks like if users are created automatically, it isn't an issue so I can probably live with it.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction,

Dan

You could make it but it would require a recompile of the DNN core.
