After installing/configuring the provider with what appeared to be success, I am unable to login via AD.  I followed the install guide provided at: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/ForumsDotNetNuke/tabid/795/forumid/89/threadid/53005/scope/posts/Default.aspx but I am still unable to get anywhere, as I continue to receive a "Login Failed" message?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Derek

A few questions:

1. How are you logging in (needs to be in Domain\Username format after clicking on Windows Login)?

2. How long is your password (by default the minimum length in the web.config is set to 7 characters. If your's is less then you need to adjust the minPasswordLength in the web.config)?

3. Is there a better error logged in the DNN Event Viewer under the Admin menu?

I was able to authenticate via active directory. It appears that the provider brings over the First Name, Last Name, and Email Address fields and associates the user with any group they are associated with in AD given that group was previously created in DNN.  Is there a way for the provider to bring the groups over automatically or is it required to enter the AD groups into DNN that you wish to use.  Also is it possible to bring over addtional information from AD such as Address and Contact Information?

Thanks.

Derek

If Synchronize Roles is checked then users are synchronized against their AD groups everytime they sign in (as long as the cache isn't active from their last visit which usually takes a 1/2 hour to an hour to expire).

It should be pulling in the address and contact info. I just check the website here at work and it doesn't have my information but my development site at home does so I'm going to have to do some comparing between the two to see what I have setup different.
