Hi,

How do you strip the domain name from the usernamewhen using the windows login?  I've noticed that the code in AuthenticationController.vb uses _config.StripDomainName to see whether the domain name should be stripped, but how do you set this?  I've tried <add key="AuthenticationStripDomain" value="true" /> in the .config but this don't work.

Cheers,
Lee.

Hi Lee

It's code that's been added but not implemented. There are a number of reasons for this but essentially I haven't come up with a foolproof way of changing existing accounts (especially if the portal is a mixed portal and potentially an account already exists when the domain name in stripped (LeeK and Domain\LeeK)) and a way to go back if an admin decides that, yes, he or she does want the domain name used after having the domain names stripped.
