I could use some help.

I recently did a fresh install of DNN 4.09.00.  Upon guidance in the forums found that there is a bug with AD authentication during the install, so I did not enable it then.  I downloaded 1.00.04 install file, put in the FCKAPI dll  workaround (copy an older version of fck dll) and tried to install AD Authentication.  Now I'm getting this error:

I just tried 1.00.03 too, and get the same error.  Did some searching and based on that removed the directory DesktopModules\AuthenticationServices\ActiveDirectory then tried again.  Same error!  I'm at a loss.  I'd really like to use AD authentication, but this is not looking promising.

I am having the same problem, but I do not think it is related to the ActriveDirectory module but something in the authentication installer, as mine is a custom one that I am working on. I have also tried reinstalling the OpenID one, and again get the same error. I have tried the install on 2 different DotNetNuke sites and still no joy. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this

Have you looked at the obvious things already?  Things like permissions on the server folders can really mess you up.

I've got permissions set as directed in the install guide..  read/write/modify for Network Service.  Unless there's something else I'm missing.
