Hi,

Our portal has two languages installed, english and dutch, both are enabled. The default portal language is set to dutch. When a new user is created via the AD provider, it's preferred locale profile setting is set to english. In fact, every time the user logs in through the AD provider, this profile setting is reset to english.

We want our portal to be displayed in dutch by default for all users. Now, because of this profile setting we are unable to achieve this, it seems to override all other language settings (browser language, default portal setting etc.)

Wouldn't it be more logical to set the preferred language for a new user that is created by the AD provider to the default portal language? And not touch this profile setting at all when the user already exists at the time of login?

We are using DNN 04.09.02 and AD provider 01.00.04

Could you log this as a bug in the DNN Core Framework and Modules [PUBLIC] section in Gemini?

I'm starting to bang my head against my desk over this one. I was able to replicate the issue once but when I try to debug it to see where the PreferredLocale is getting changed......not a chance.

I've been trying since last night to replicate the issue again with no luck. I'm starting to think that I was mistaken when I thought I replicated it the first time. I'll keep plugging away though.
