I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but it kind of deals with authentication.  I use DNN 4.09.02 and the active directory provider for authentication and it works as expected.  What I'm wondering is if there is a way for after the user types in his/her username and password and they are authenticated can you have multiple home pages based on the user?  This is for an intranet site and we would like to have the page take the IT users to the IT page after a successful login, Accounting to an accounting page, ect.  Is this possible?

Thanks,

---Jeff

No there isn't Jeff. Are you automatically putting users into DNN roles that correspond to the AD groups? If you are then there may be a work-around that'll work for you.

Jeff-
If you place users into different DNN roles/groups you can auto-forward based on membership using the free ADVANCED DATAGRID module (similar to REPORTS module).  This is definitely more "hack" than "solution" but it could provide a workable first step while you scout around for a permanent solution.  See info here:

Create a "Login Redirection Based on User Role" module using DNN Advanced Datagrid

With a minor change (different token) you can use the REPORTS module to perform the same action.  This solution still requires that your users hit, however briefly, the default homepage before being auto-forwarded to the target page.  A "real" solution would take users directly to the targeted page (I've seen at least one paid module that does this).

Cheers!
