We have successfully implemented the Active Directory Provider ADSI V05.00.02 at a customer site.  They then stated they wanted the AD authentication to use the Start TLS operation, I am not sure if this is possible with the AD provider that I am using and if any code changes would be required or is it a configuration setting on the AD server. 

The questions I have are as follows :
    1) If I want to use TLS without SSL would I still require a certificate from CA
    2) Does the ADSI provider user LDAP?
    3) If I can use tls with the current DNN ADSI provider what authetication type would that be set as in the setting page
    4) Are code changes required for the DNN ADSI provder to enable tls?
    5) Is there any technical documentation for the ADSI provider
