We are now near the end of the internal testing of the Gallery 04.03.00 Release Candidate 1.  It looks like we have no big issues, excluding with XHTML.  We are now working on several XHTML issues.  We was never so close before releasing the new Gallery.  On my aspect it could be near end of October we have a official release.  This is not a official Timestamp, but I would share my impression with you and give you a impression whats going on with the Gallery Module.

I hope you appreciate my report to you, and see it as a try to give you a impression on the status of the module.

Matthias

Will there be an upgrade path from Release Candidate 1 to final relase?

No, all Beta and RC will be only for use in a non production environment.  You must understand, that we have internal much more builds, and if we make all as a upgradable version we never ends.

Matthias,

That sounds like great news!

I am new to DNN, so I have a couple of newbie questions:

1. Will the source code be available for the module, once it's released?

2. Would you, or any member of the team be available to customize it for a fee?

thanks,

Steven

Hi Steven,

to answer your question I will be hold me short.

  1. Yes the source code will be availible.
  2. We don't customize any dnn module for any users.  Perhaps the corporate do it but not for free.

After release we will start with the next changes which will be added a DAL and Ajax support.  So the team have a lot to do in future.
