I have upgraded to DNN 5.5 and when I tried to add an instance of the Gallery module to a page it threw this error:

DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Modules.Gallery.Container.GetStats() at DotNetNuke.Modules.Gallery.Container.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Is this a compatibility issue or something else?

Gallery 04.03.01 RC fixed several issues related to running under ASP.Net 4.0 for DNN versions 5.04.xx. However, due to a behavior change in the core FolderController.AddFolder method introduced in DNN 5.05.00, Gallery will throw the error you are experiencing. I hope to have a Gallery 04.03.02 Beta or RC up on CodePlex by late next week. Although I have fixed this issue, I also want to take this opportunity to fix other few minor issues. Assuming all goes well with community testing of the Beta or RC, I will then submit the new package to the release tracker testing process to become an official release.

Just noticed I'm running into the same problem trying to add an album to the gallery since updating to v5.5 have you finished with the release / fix for this yet?

Hi Andy,

The same issue causes adding an album to fail when running under DNN 5.05.00. I was able to spend some time on this last week but have not been able to find any more time this week. Hoping to get onto it again tomorrow and have a Gallery 04.03.02 Beta posted by the weekend. There also appears to be new (friendly url or url encoding related?) issue with image file names containing spaces when running under DNN 5.05.00 that was not a problem in DNN 5.04.04. I have yet to track that one down.
