I have just released a BETA of the DotNetNuke Gallery module v 4.04.00 which will require a MINIMUM DotNetNuke core version of 5.06.02 to be installed. It fixes a number of minor but irritating issues, makes the module XHTML compliant, and repackages it with a v 5 manifest.
Unless any showstopper issues appear within the next couple of days, this version will be submitted to the Release Tracker testing process for "core" extensions and hopefully be able to be included in the DotNetNuke 6.0 packages later this spring/summer.
You may read more about this release in my blog post:

And download both the source and install packages from its CodePlex project site:

Please take the time to test the module in a non-production environment and report any major issues you find in the project's CodePlex issue tracker. Remember that this is a BETA version which should not be used in a live, production website environment at this time.
As the major effort of this release has been to make the module XHTML compliant, be aware that if you are already using the module and have customized one of the four css stylesheets included as part of the module's "themes", that you will most likely need to rework your styling of the module as many of the css class names and rules have been changed. A large number of new class names and corresponding rules have been defined to make further styling easier. All in-line styles and deprecated element tags and tag attributes have been removed.
Although I have had to stop work on MediaGallery 5x while working on this revision, be assured that work will resume shortly with a goal of having a completely new design released as a beta by early fall of 2011.
