DNN 4.5.3
Blog 3.3.0

I have a bunch of portals under one DNN instance.  each uses the blog module.  A couple of portals suddenly started spontaneously creating child blogs.  to be clear, none of the blogs have child blogs and have been running normally for weeks.  suddenly today, all blogs in two different portals have at least 5 identical child blogs.  in addition, each blog with entries has duplicates of each entry in the child blogs.  as an example, one blog had 5 entries and no child blogs.  now it had 5 child blogs and 25 duplicate entries.  even blogs with no entries have 5 empty child blogs.

one portal has 10 blogs with about 20 entries.  today it has about 50 child blogs with about 100 duplicate entries.  This could be a real nightmare on a mature site with lots of entries.

question 1:  why are the blogs creating spontaneous child blogs?
question 2:  why are the blogs creating duplicate entries?

I Experienced the exact same thing. I even deleted the duplicate blog entries and the following day they where back. I also noticed that nobody has responded to this post of yours, I'm eager to see what the issue is regarding this.
