From another post:
"Maybe this (old) trainig video for the general setup of NewBlog could help you."
Here's the link to the training video
Also, consider reading some of the other threads ...
There is only one *set* of blogs in a DNN portal. There can only be one blog per user. Any time you drop a "blog" module onto a page you have a "window" into this set of "all blogs" ... you will see any other user's blog if it is set to "public" and, of course, you will have access to your own, regardless of the "public" setting.
This is all presuming of course you have the correct permissions set on a few of the modules ... there are 5 that get added when adding a "blog" module to a page. Again, check out the video above.
It might help you to create a page, enable view permissions for a group (ex: registered users), *then* add the blog module, add edit permissions (at a minimum) to new_blog component (1 of 5, remember?) for the same group. Ditto for view_blog component if you actually want to be able to edit your posts later ..
Then, if you are a member of that group, view the page and create a blog (your one and only, save child blogs of course). Log in as a different user in the same group and repeat. Soon it will start to make sense.
A DNN blog is a personal blog and the a DNN blog module is *access* to the personal blogs. These guys say that you can restrict view access to certain blogs for certain user groups ... see "video 8", but I haven't figured it out just yet. Or coughed up the dough for the tutorial.
Btw, you might also be confused with "edit" the page and "design" ... make sure you have toggled *off* of "design" or you'll drive yourself nuts.
