I created a new blog, but unfortunately under my SuperUser account.  I need to either change the owner to my name account or delete it and re-create it.  Just looking at the Edit options, etc., neither of these things seem to be possible.  I have tried deleteing ythe whole Blog module from my site and just starting over, but that didn't work either (it seems to retain the Blogs & entries as global data).

How can I do this?

Hi RBarryYoung,

you can easily remove your blog by logging in as admin or as super user and go to Blog Settings. On the bottom of the page there's a Delete link. Then you can log in as the new desired user and start over with a new blog.

If you just want to change the owner, the only way to do this is using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio Express (that is free) or logging in as Host, going to Host > SQL and executing this script:

UPDATE {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}Blog_Blogs
SET 'y'
WHERE UserID = 'x'

Remember to check the Run as script option and substitute x with the old UserID, and y with the new UserID. Let me know if you need further help.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa

Hi! I'm trying to delete a blog created by a user when I'm logged in as an admin or host. The option to delete the blog isn't presented because no Blog Settings link is provided into that other user's settings.

If I log in with a regular ID, and create a blog, I can see the Blog Settings when logged in as that user and I am able to delete as you recommended. But Admin and Host accounts cannot see this same link to do the same.

At least, that's what is happening to me. Does someone have something different happening that allows the removal of someone else's blog on the site? If this is what other's are experiencing, what's an alternative to remove the blog and its entries?

Thanks.
