my web site does not allow for users to register; therefore, if someone is not "logged in" they cannot seem to comment on the blog.  If you click comment nothing happens unless you are registered.  I have "allow anonymous users to post comments" but this seems to do nothing.  Am i missing something or is this featured truly bugged.

www.housedance.tv is the site.

Hi Coflo,

I took at look at your site and couldn't figure out why it's not firing the JavaScript to submit the comment.  I've never seen the comment disabled like that, so I wonder if there's an issue with the HTML?  Here's what I would try in order to eliminate that.  Change the skin and container for that page temporarily to the default DotNetNuke skin and template.  I'll be interested to know if the comments are still disabled.

Thanks,

Don

Hi Coflo,

This one took a while to track down.  I spent some time with FireBug tracking through the JavaScript and found that you have other controls on the page which require validation.  I don't know how I missed this the first time.  This is a known limitation of having more than one group of controls on the page which require client side validation.  With ASP.NET, the client side validation infrastructure is for the whole page, so when I click on the Add Comment button, there is client side script which makes sure that the page is valid.  Unfortunately, it's not valid because of another form you have in the section titled 'Join the Flo-Ology Email List.'  You'll need to disable client side validation for one of the two forms:  either the blog comments or the email list form.

Here's a great article on MSDN that will point you in the right direction:
