Good day...

I am looking for an answer.  I have a website that will have 3 people posting a blog.  I only want the respective persons page showing only on there page.  However when i put the blog module in, ALL blog entries show up on all pages.  Any help would be appreciated.

Mike

there is a module option, which blog to contain (like on the projects' pages here on DotNetNuke.com).

Hi Mike,

Sebastian is right. As the portal administrator you have the ability to create  a page for each blogger, and in that particular page show an instance of the blog module displaying only his/her posts. Just follow this procedure:

  1. Create the page;
  2. Add an instance of the blog;
  3. Goto Module Options;
  4. Set the Personal Blog Page to the user's blog;
  5. Apply your changes.

After doing that, the visitors entering that page will see the brief description that the users gave to the blog, and only the posts belonging to that blog. This way you'll be able to create a sort of "navigation" across all the blogs. Note that this function is already available as a built in control in the blog module: you can navigate across the blogs using the blog list. I hope this will match your needs. If not, please feel free to let me know.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa

I just started with dnn. How do you do that in 5.5.1? You talk about a blog module but they are 7-9 of them. Which one do you set the permission for a specific individual, and is it that before or after he/ she gets ownership of the blog?
