By the way, I have 3 portals with this problem and all 3 have different skins. One has a custom skin, the other is using salarocrystal (which must have come with one of the installs) and the third is using MinimalExtropy, which was applied as a default for that portal after the upgrade (before it was whatever skin is applied by default when you first create a portal). The custom skin is just HTML and pretty basic HTML at that (no scripts, complex container designs, etc.).

Thanks Much,

Scot.

Hi Scot,

could you please check if other modules come into the page along with the blog module, or if some third party modules are installed and displaying data in the pages with the code blocks?

Best regards,
Dario Rossa

Hi Dario,

Nope, no third party modules are installed and the blog page only has the (5) associated modules (view, search, blog list, etc.).

Hi Scot,

after thinking for hours where code blocks may come from, I stepped into this post by John Mitchell: they may be inserted by the skin parser when using images into the skin. Could you please check your skin ascx files to verify if this is your case?

Best regards,
Dario Rossa

Hi Dario,

The closest I have to this in my skins is something like this:

<td id="TopPane" runat="server" visible="false" vAlign="top" align="middle" colspan="3"></td>

Since this element would, eventually, contain a container, could that be causing the problem? The other skin (SalarOCrystal) I'm using does the same thing though,  and besides, how else would you specify a content pane in a skin anyway?

However, I have no tags of any kind in the middle of a skin tag within a given skin file (e.g. no image tags in the middle of a skin tag as the referenced article cited).

I'd be happy to send you the skin files if you would like to take a closer look though....

Thanks Much,

Scot.
