I just installed DNN 5.0 and added the Blog to my page and it all seems to work for the most part but one of the containers for the Blog shows this error:

An error has occurred.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.NavigationControl.SolpartMenuNavigationProvider.Bind(DNNNodeCollection objNodes) at DotNetNuke.UI.WebControls.SolPartActions.BindMenu(DNNNodeCollection objNodes) at DotNetNuke.UI.WebControls.SolPartActions.BindMenu() at DotNetNuke.UI.WebControls.SolPartActions.Page_PreRender(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Any ideas how to fix this?

Thanks.

Is this a custom / 3rd party container? It looks like the skin object needs to get updated to the DNN5 menu object. However, I'm really not sure at all....

Oliver, this is a custom skin with a custom container.  I didn't understand what you were asking at first, but then I changed the container back to the basic Extropy container and the error went away.

I don't know what I'm missing with this, but all the other parts of the Blog are working so for now I'll leave it.  I think I will pass on a note to the designer and let him know that there is an issue with his skin.

Thanks for the good call.

King Wilder

Dario,

I read your previous post and saw how I can get to my Blog options page.  I guess that's what's broken with this new skin.  I don't think I need to modify anything in there at the moment so I'll just leave it.  Since it doesn't appear in the public site, I'm ok with it.

Thanks,

King Wilder
